• Furries: are people who use an animal suit. There are a number of reasons, such as: some claim they’re trying to get in touch with their inner animal, some find the disguise liberating and for others, there’s a degree of eroticism involved. In Melbourne, Australia have made the annual Furry convention for more than five years.

• Naturist: are people who aren’t just heading to designated nudie resorts and beaches but they adapt nudism in unusual places – like Big Nude Boat cruises, walking tours and art galleries. Newcastle hosts an “Art in the Nude” event and Melbourne holds an annual “Nude Bike Ride”, raising awareness of body acceptance and freedom of expression.

• Arrernte: It is located in north-central Australia, around the MacDonnell mountain range. The society of this Australian aboriginal people is polygamous. In addition, homosexuality is widespread among men. The clothing is made with animal skins and decorate their body with jewelry. However, they are very friendly people and love to learn new facts about other cultures and how people view the world. They are down to Earth and they love their landscape. They respect how the world and their ancestors made their home/landscape, so they stick with their traditions and beliefs. According to Lewis Culture Model, Australian are between linear active and multi-active culture, so if someone of them want to study here in Barranquilla, she or he wil not have a lot of problem in the coexistence because Barranquilla’s culture is multi-active. Besides, Australian are people who has open mind therefore he or she would adapt him/her to our culture and tolerate our culture. For example: most people know that Australian have a relaxed life but they like enjoying the time efficiently, and in Barranquilla there are people who have tendency linear active in some activities and are multi-active in others; so for that diversity the Australians will found a group of people with  characteristics in common to work with them. In addition, in Barranquilla the people are very friendly and they love meet people and know about others culture. In consequence, they help to Australian to adapt her or his here.

After of analyzing the graphique about differents cultural dimensions of Colombia and Australia, we can identify some similarities and differences between these culture. First, exist a big difference in the Individualism dimension because the graphique show that Australian is more individualistic than Colombia. So, this infer that Australian people are concerned about their own economic and social welfare, and of their family; while Colombian thinking more in group, their interest are conform to a group with the same ideal and to be loyal to this. Nevertheless, these countries have a lot of similarities in Masculinity, Long term orientation and Indulgence dimensions. Such dimensions indicate that both countries have people who work day to day to be the best in their perfomance area, in case of Colombian, in the performance area of their groups. Both have normative culture, since respect and preserve their culture however this is not an impediment to be indulgent because they are interesting in live their life like they wish, relaxed and positively. To finish, Power distance and Uncertainty avoidance dimensions are a little bit different in both countries, show like Colombian people believe that inequity is part of their normal life, that you will have only society have established while Australian, for example, in their laboral area work hard to be taken in account and achieve a high position. Besides, in both countries want to avoid the ambiguity, but in Colombia case they only respect the norms that they consider necessary. In conclusion, Culturally talking both countries have some characteristics common, but other that are not.

Do exist equality in the job of Australian men and women?

Achieving the total equality is too difficult in the whole world, so in Australia is not the exception. There are still inequality in work associate with men or women because the society believes that men only must be concerned about work and economically maintain his family while women always have the obligation to take care her home and family. That is to say women can get a work but this should not interfere in her house task (Van Egmond, M., Baxter, J., Buchler, S., & Western, M, 2010). Consequently, while men have one work, women for “obligation” have two work since they are the “mothers”.

Do exist homophobic attitudes in Australian men and women?

According to Polimeni, A. M., Hardie, E., & Buzwell, S. (2000) “women were more anti-lesbian than anti-gay, and men vice versa.”. It is meaning that Australian women are more tolerant with gay men, while Australian men are more tolerant with lesbian women; however it is meaning that there are homophobic attitudes in this country. May be they do not understand when a person of their sex is homosexual because they do not visualized themself with this orientation sex; because they are traditional people, or other reason.

Have Australian women an active participation in their society?

Australian women is not total integrate in their society because they do not have an active participation in the power pillars of the Australian society. They need to be taken seriously, not only like the woman who should have their children and take care of their home, not only like who are concerned about what clothes wear since they are leader, intelligent, valiant women who need to be more supported  to achieve participation in the great pillars of their society, and on that way achieving the Australia’s development. That express Stilinovic (2017): “Australian women might finally achieve equal representation among the three power pillars of society–the government, multinational corporations and the church–which are currently dominated by men.”.

Colombia and Australia

There may be exist a good relation between Australians and Colombians for their cultures. First, Australia is a country with a lot of foreigners who contributed to their culture, like Colombia. Hence both of them are multicultural countries, the last one homeland mentioned  is rich in cultural diversity throughout its history, from colonization with indigenous settlements (like Australia), which still prevail today, and adopted some features of their culture to Colombian customs. Besides, Australian in their lifestyle should be a little bit like people who live in the Colombian Coast. Both of them live a relax life, they do not have stress at no time, and the two places (Colombian Coast and Australia) have beautiful beaches. Even, Australians and Colombians have a good humor sense, for that, you would found great friends who transmite you good energy. In addition, both countries use sport like an opportunity to live together with people and enjoy it between them. Sport have a big value. So, Australians and Colombians are spontaneous people, who welcome you with open arms and you will feel their affection. In conclusion, there are some similarities which can guarantee  a big relationship between people of this two countries.

It’s an exemplary country, nobody or nothing is better than other. People merit respect, and they are ready to help anybody. It’s a beautiful country in a lot aspects, you need visit it.

With the frecuently use of social media, T.V and the internet, we would think in the Australian like people so fresh, who don’t like work and they always are on vacation. Thinking that they always use sandals and don’t use closed shoes. Besides, we usually believe that there are kangaroos that are fighting all the time, and these are feral so they can attack you. In fact, we think that in all place there are animals that always will attack us. Also, we believe that Australia is beach or desert, so Australian only live in these two parallel.
